Lake Trail Closed For Work on New U.S. 31 Project

Traffic Detoured For Bridge Construction

LAKEVILLE, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces Lake Trail is closed between Kenilworth and Shively roads. This will allow crews to construct a bridge for Lake Trail over the new U.S. 31 being built between Plymouth and South Bend.

Residents will have access to their properties on either side of the closure, but through traffic will be detoured. Signs will direct drivers through the detour along Shively, Ironwood, Quinn and Kenilworth roads. The road is anticipated to reopen in early November, however the work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
